What this policy covers

WordyLab operates wordylab.com and provides word-game tools, word lists, daily puzzle help, guides, and related editorial resources. This Privacy Policy explains what information WordyLab collects, how that information is used, when it may be shared, and the choices you have.

This policy applies when you visit WordyLab, use a solver or word list, submit a newsletter signup, click a contact or resource link, or otherwise interact with pages on the site. It does not apply to websites, games, stores, newsletter platforms, affiliate merchants, or other services that WordyLab does not operate.

WordyLab is built so the core word tools can be used without registration. You do not need to create a login to use the public solvers, browse word lists, or read daily puzzle help.

Information WordyLab collects

WordyLab collects a limited amount of information in three main ways: information that is processed automatically when the site loads, information you choose to submit, and functional information needed to run site features.

Information processed automatically

When you visit the site, WordyLab and service providers that support the site may process standard technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, pages requested, timestamps, approximate region derived from network data, and basic request or security logs. This information helps deliver the site, keep it available, and understand whether pages are working properly.

Information you choose to provide

You may choose to provide information when you subscribe to a newsletter, email WordyLab, use the contact form, report a correction, send accessibility feedback, or contact us for privacy, press, or partnership questions. Depending on what you send, this may include your name, email address, message topic, the page URL you mention, your message content, and any details you include in the body of the message.

Functional site information

Some preferences and feature states may be stored in your browser. This helps the site remember simple choices, such as display preferences or consent choices, on the same browser and device.

Tool inputs and solver data

WordyLab tools may ask you to enter letters, word patterns, clue text, known positions, excluded letters, blank tiles, or similar puzzle details. Those inputs are used to produce word suggestions, scores, filters, hints, or related results.

WordyLab does not intentionally build personal profiles from solver inputs. Analytics events are designed not to include the letters, clue text, result contents, or answer lists you see while using a tool.

Some tools run in your browser. Other features may send a temporary request to WordyLab systems so the site can return the requested result. Technical logs may still record basic request details, but tool inputs are not intended to be stored as a user history tied to your identity.

You should avoid entering sensitive personal information into a word solver, clue field, or puzzle-help form. These tools are designed for word-game and word-study tasks, not for private messages, passwords, health details, financial information, or legal documents.

Newsletter and contact emails

If you sign up for the WordyLab newsletter, the signup form asks for your email address and consent to receive WordyLab emails. The signup request also includes the site name, the signup source, and timestamps used to operate the list and understand where the signup came from.

Newsletter information may be stored in a database, mailing-list system, or email delivery service used to operate WordyLab communications. Those providers may process your email address and related delivery information so messages can be sent, delivered, bounced, suppressed, or unsubscribed.

If you contact WordyLab by email, contact form, or a linked contact path, we use the information you provide to read, route, and respond to your request. For example, correction reports may be used to investigate a page, privacy messages may be used to respond to privacy requests, and accessibility messages may be used to improve the site.

You can unsubscribe from newsletter emails using the unsubscribe instructions in the message when available, or you can email privacy@wordylab.com .

Analytics, logs, and site performance

WordyLab uses lightweight analytics and technical logs to understand broad site usage, diagnose errors, protect the site, and improve pages. Analytics may include general page, referral, timing, and interaction information that helps us see whether pages load, links work, and tools are being used successfully.

WordyLab's analytics are designed not to include newsletter email addresses, solver inputs, result contents, or personal contact-message content. The purpose is to measure site performance and usefulness, not to build personal profiles from puzzle activity.

Technical logs and security systems may process standard request information needed to deliver pages, prevent abuse, investigate errors, and keep the site reliable. WordyLab does not use analytics to intentionally collect the contents of puzzle inputs or the answers returned by tools.

Cookies, local storage, fonts, and similar technologies

WordyLab uses browser storage for limited functional purposes, such as remembering simple display preferences or consent choices on the same browser and device. These values stay in your browser until you clear them or your browser removes them.

WordyLab may use font, icon, or similar display files to render the site clearly. Core site fonts are served from WordyLab, while some other external resources may still be requested when a page links to or embeds a third-party service. When your browser requests an external resource, that provider may receive standard technical request information.

WordyLab's Cookie Policy provides more detail about cookies and browser storage. You can also use your browser settings to clear cookies, clear local storage, block some storage, or limit third-party requests.

How WordyLab uses information

WordyLab uses the information described in this policy for the following purposes:

• To deliver pages, tools, word lists, guides, and daily puzzle resources.
• To process solver requests and return the results you asked for.
• To operate newsletter signup, consent, unsubscribe, and delivery workflows.
• To respond to corrections, privacy requests, accessibility reports, and other emails.
• To understand which pages and tools are useful, broken, slow, or confusing.
• To prevent abuse, spam, scraping, attacks, outages, and other technical problems.
• To maintain site security, debug errors, and comply with legal obligations.
• To evaluate future features only in ways consistent with this policy or later updates.

When information is shared

WordyLab does not trade, rent, or disclose newsletter addresses, tool inputs, or contact messages for money. WordyLab may share limited information only in the situations described below.

Service providers

WordyLab may use service providers for site operation, security, analytics, database storage, email delivery, newsletters, issue handling, and similar services. These providers process information only as needed to provide their services to WordyLab.

Legal, safety, and security reasons

WordyLab may disclose information if required to comply with a valid legal request, to protect the rights or safety of WordyLab, visitors, or others, to investigate abuse or security issues, or to enforce applicable terms and policies.

Business changes

If WordyLab is involved in a reorganization, transfer, merger, acquisition, or similar business change, information related to the site may be transferred as part of that process, subject to this policy or a replacement policy disclosed at the time.

Links to other sites

WordyLab links to external websites, including game publishers, reference sources, stores, affiliate merchants, social platforms, and other resources. If you follow an external link, the destination site may collect information under its own privacy policy. WordyLab does not control the privacy practices of external sites.

Ads, affiliate links, and future monetization

Display advertising and affiliate tracking are not currently active on WordyLab. Some pages may contain regular resource links or disclosure language for future monetization planning, but those placements should not be treated as active ad tracking unless the site clearly labels them or the destination link itself uses merchant tracking.

If WordyLab later enables advertising, affiliate tracking, sponsored links, or similar monetization features, those partners may process information such as clicked links, referring pages, device or browser information, and identifiers used for attribution, fraud prevention, ad measurement, or interest-based advertising. WordyLab will update this policy, the Cookie Policy, and any required notices before relying on materially different data practices.

If affiliate links become active, WordyLab intends to label those sections clearly and place them below the main tool, answer, or editorial value. Affiliate links may take you to a merchant website where the merchant's own privacy policy applies.

Data retention

WordyLab keeps information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer period is required for security, legal, accounting, dispute, backup, or operational reasons.

• Newsletter records are kept while you remain subscribed, and may be kept afterward as needed to honor unsubscribe, suppression, audit, or deletion requests.
• Contact emails are kept as long as needed to respond, investigate the issue, maintain a corrections record, or protect the site.
• Analytics and technical logs are kept for operational, security, debugging, and trend analysis needs, then deleted, aggregated, or de-identified when no longer needed.
• Browser storage such as theme or consent values remains on your device until you clear it, change browsers, or the browser removes it.

Your privacy choices and rights

You can make privacy requests by emailing privacy@wordylab.com . To help us find the relevant information, include the email address you used for the newsletter or the page URL connected to your request when applicable.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain uses of your personal information. You may also have rights related to data portability, withdrawal of consent, non-discrimination for exercising privacy rights, or opting out of certain targeted advertising or data-sharing uses if those uses exist. WordyLab will make practical privacy choices available to visitors even when a specific regional law does not require the same right.

WordyLab may need to verify your request before acting on it. For example, if you ask us to remove a newsletter email address, we may need to confirm that the request comes from the same address or from someone authorized to act for that address. Some information may be retained when needed for security, legal compliance, dispute handling, backups, or suppression lists.

You can also control some information directly through your browser by clearing cookies and local storage, using private browsing modes, blocking third-party requests, limiting referrers, or enabling privacy signals supported by your browser.

Children's privacy

WordyLab is a general-audience word-game and word-study site. It is not directed to children under 13, and WordyLab does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to WordyLab, contact privacy@wordylab.com . If WordyLab learns that it has collected personal information from a child under 13 without appropriate consent, WordyLab will take reasonable steps to delete that information.

Security

WordyLab uses reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect the information handled by the site. These safeguards may include HTTPS, access controls, protected credentials, limited data collection, monitoring, and other standard security practices appropriate for the information involved.

No website, database, email system, or network connection can be guaranteed to be perfectly secure. You can help reduce risk by avoiding sensitive personal information in solver inputs or ordinary contact messages.

International visitors

WordyLab is operated for an English-language audience and may be accessed from different countries. Depending on where you visit from, your information may be processed in locations where WordyLab or its service providers operate. Those locations may have privacy laws that differ from the laws where you live.

If a privacy law in your location gives you specific rights, you may contact WordyLab at privacy@wordylab.com and we will review your request in light of the information WordyLab actually holds.

Changes to this policy

WordyLab may update this Privacy Policy as the site, providers, features, or legal requirements change. When the policy is updated, the date at the top of this page will be changed. If a future update materially changes how WordyLab handles personal information, WordyLab will provide notice in a reasonable way based on the nature of the change.
